After lowering the tire you'll have to lift one side of the tire to get the little T connected to the wire out through the center hole.

Be sure to loosen each lug nut a turn before you jack up the vehicle or the whole wheel will spin. After you place the jack under a secure spot on the frame jack up and remove the lug nuts. Replace the tire, tighten the lug nuts as much as you can. Lower the vehicle (off of thwe jack) and then tighten the lug nuts more! Put the bad tire on the spare hoist and raise until it is secure to the vehicle. How do you change a tire on a 1993 ford explorer?
Look in your owner's manual, but I recommend calling a local service station to come out because it's too dangerous to change a tire without training unless it's a true emergency. You need a day off anyways! The real problem is loosening the lug nuts on the wheels, and you probably can't get even one of them loose. To prove it, take the wrench and try to loosen one of the nuts. Can you do it? Even the super strong mechanic has trouble loosening the lug nuts on his own car sometimes.
Call AAA
My heaven,s we do have a problem. is the tire laying on the ground with the cable coming out of the center of the tire, if so just reach in the center of the tire there is a metal plate just turn it side way,s and it will come right out, re insert it the same way when you have the spare mounted on the car, and if Anny one ask,s you for direction,s today or to marrow just direct them to the nearest police man .
