How much will a bike shop charge to change a tire with a new one on my bicycle?

Inner tube about 4-6 dollars depending on the valve type (schrader vs. presta), labor about 6-8 dollars, price of tire, if you need one, can range from 8-50 dollars depending on the quality you want.

EDIT: any shop that would charge you $20. labor to change a tire is a shop you should NEVER go to.How much will a bike shop charge to change a tire with a new one on my bicycle?
honestly, you should be able to change your own tires. what if you had a flat while out riding? this is a very basic skill that anyone riding any distance needs to master. you need to be able to repair a flat, and if you can change a tube a tire isnt much more.

i have always changed my own. i really have no idea how much a shop would charge, but that mechanic has to earn a living so i would think at least 20 for his trouble, perhaps more. How much will a bike shop charge to change a tire with a new one on my bicycle?
Too much...Maybe $20...You should be able to do it yourself in 15 20 minutes...You can get tire levers for about $3 in a department store.
Come on man, your killin me. I do all the work on my bike and it is extremely simple. Even if you live in an apartment. Just buy a new tire and a new intertube. Take the old tire and intertube off, and pu tthe new on the same way.
call one
all depends what kind of tires you buy..... tubeless or some special ones like the flat proof Specialized Armadillo Elite is 60.00 dollars....

also bike shops charge different.....
$20 bucks is a rip off...
Find an experienced cyclist (they often hang in bike shops). He'll be glad to show you how to change a tire and tube for free. It's not hard. All you need is a $3 set of tire levers and access to a pump. Then you'll be able to change your own tires for the rest of your life.
