Why do so many young Kiwi s head to Australia?

To take up extremely well paid jobs, a lot are in the Mines, surely the are enough aussies to do these jobs

My eldest is in WA earning AUD$82,000pa just for changing tyres on 200 tonne trucks, He is a good worker and knows how to work hard and earns his moneyWhy do so many young Kiwi s head to Australia?
It's funny that we ask that about people coming over the border into the U.S. I guess the reasons are the same (money) but the methods are different (legal vs. illegal).

No problems with anyone coming here legally, working and contributing to society in a responsible way, big problem with illegals working under the table, paying no taxes and living with some young girl who winds up having two or three welfare children.

Then the illegal sends his money ';home'; and lives off the girls welfare.

Grrrrrrrrrr.

Your son and other Kiwi's going to work in Australia are doing it the right way, they contribute to society as hard workers and pay their dues. I wish we had more like them here.

cos australia is AWSOME!
Because everything is better in the land down under, my friend.
it is for the work, there is more work available in australia and better pay.
i was there and i think the majority of Aussies are gay, maybe thats why
Kiwis are so yummy!
What the heck is a young Kiwi? I thought a Kiwi was a bird or a fruit?!
Cause there's not much work in new zealand and because they wanna learn English. lol ^_^
but it's not just that it's opportunities like there are certain industries in new zealand that are just not big enough

like i've got heaps of kiwi family friends who come over here because they're in the fashion/marketing field

and they're young so they want to explore and new zealand's just too small for that
Because, if people could and Australia was a person it would renamed ';Awesomo';
although things could change very quickly in this global financial crisis, the australian economy has been strong while nz has slipped into recession. there are more opportunities in aus than in nz and cross border travel between these countries is hassle free
Some go with their parents because of work.

Most of them go to Australia because it's a bigger place there's more people and there more jobs and they're usually better paid.

Some like to go there for the weather (one such example being my father) but personally I like it in New Zealand where it's nice and cool.

because australia is the best country in the world. And australians are the best people in the world!
I'm not real knowledgeable of the two countries, except they are both beautiful, but I'm guessing it's like here you go where you can make the money

we leave nz cos we get paid jack **** and taxes are huge.... and aussies want us cos we are harder workers. oh and the aussie climate is much better suited for me...
