I have a 1998 Mercury Sable...there are winter tires on it now, and I need to change to my summer tires. I have the tires, I just need to get them changed. They are all on their rims, so I just simply need them CHANGED. About how much will this cost?Cost to change tires?
Bring them with you to get your oil changed and they may do it for you if you are a regular customer.Cost to change tires?
if your swapping the rims and the tires, and the tires do NOT have to be dismounted then you can more than usual have it done for free, if not it shouldnt be more than 10 bucks. take it to a sears auto center, from experience working there, you can usually have them do it for free if nothing else is required.
It should not cost very much because that is a really easy job and should not take more that 10 or 15 minutes if the shop has the right equipment. If it were my car I probably would do it myself using the jack and tire tool that comes with the car. If I were to pay a shop maybe $20 to $25 total.
You can do it yourself if you have a jack and jack stands.
You can also take the car and the tires to a tire store and pay no more than $5 per tire change.
I don't know where you live but in Los Angeles, I paid $20 to have my four tires replaced.
Suggest about 8 bucks a tire, depending on where you live.
