I would guss about the same way you change the rear wheel on a bike. Loosen the axle and drop the wheel out and take the chain off..

How do I get a Security Bolt/nut off my wheel, so I can change my tire??
2001 Nissan Quest van, Has a nut key thing on every wheel. Had a blow out Two days ago, been whaling on it ever since. Need to get to work tomorrow, need to get it off. Obviously don't have tool. Some times hammering on a socket that is a shade to small will do it. But faling that its a diamond tip drill bit.
well if you dont have the ket what we do at the tire shop is a hammer and chisel..... and sometimes a torch and hey how many of the people you know has had they wheels stole
Grindham has it pretty well knocked! Either find a socket that will be just a bit too small and drive it onto the nut and use steady force on a flex-handle (nothing sudden or jerky), or find a buddy that has a welder, and weld a regular nut onto the security nut, then use a regular wrench.
If you have to have the car in a hurry, Call some of you local towing companies and explain the situation. They might be able to help you for a small fee
if it has the out side teath on the nut use an impact socket that almost fits but is too tight and hammer it on then use an impact wrench or a breaker bar as the lesser option and try removing it. impact sockets handle more presure and will be safer for you. spray a good break away fluid only at the base where the wheel nut meets the rim satay away fron where the socket will be on. good luck

1st off, tires actually wearout, the best way to extend the life of your tires is through proper maintenance.
a) tire rotations every six months or every other oil change
b) front end alignment check once a year
2nd, your tires have wear marks imbedded in the grooves of the tires that look like raised bars between the grooves of the tread, if these are even with the tread then it is time for new tires.

Your tires life mostly depends on your driving so if your braking heavy and flooring it off the the line then 40k is all you should expect,but under normal condition(driving) the road doesn't really make the difference,you should get 55-70k and they should be effective right to the end..WITH ANY SUV..YOU GOTTA ROTATE.. every other oil change !!!

It's funny that we ask that about people coming over the border into the U.S. I guess the reasons are the same (money) but the methods are different (legal vs. illegal).
No problems with anyone coming here legally, working and contributing to society in a responsible way, big problem with illegals working under the table, paying no taxes and living with some young girl who winds up having two or three welfare children.
Then the illegal sends his money ';home'; and lives off the girls welfare.

How do you change a tire?
Never had to do it before, but just in case....cuz standing on the side of the road looking sexy, waiting for a guy to spot me waving for help might not be the safest option...

before you ever go anywhere, make sure that your spare tire has enough air pressure in it, and if you ever do have a flat on the side of the road, look under your hood, or under the back end of the car to see if you can find your jack, and when you do start to jack up the car, there should be a jackup point on the suspension, or frame.... be sure to have your parking/emergency brake on and your hazard lights flashing. then unscrew the bolt for your spare tire, get your lug wrench, and start to loosen the lugs on your flat tire. then jack the car up enough to have the tire up off the ground. when you do that take the lugs completely off and take the tire off and put in the trunk or bed of the vehicle. then put the spare on and put on the lugs handtight, lower the jack until the tire is touching the ground, when it is low enough tighten the lugs in a star type fashion that way they wont come loose, get them as tight as you can and then let the car all the way down. put your jack and lug wrench back in the same location. and be sure to turn your hazard lights off and get to a tire center asap... the only tools you will really need is what came with the car. if you dont know where any of the tire changing equipment is, then look at your owners manualHow do you change a tire?
Tools needed: great Legs, blonde, nice chest.
Three things...a tire iron (protection from the crazies), cell phone (to call AAA) and directions to Pep Boys (to replace the blown tire)!
I used to say a HB or BF, but half of them can't change a tire anymore either!

It may not be the safest option, 'waiting for some guy', I'm not sure I could trust YOU..............then again, you wouldn't abuse an ole-man, now would you.

1. Remove the jack and lug wrench from the trunk or storage area.
2. Place the car in park and set the emergency brake.
3. Place the jack under the bumper or in the jacking point opening.
4. Raise the car slightly with the wheel still on the ground.
5. Loosen, but do not remove the lug nuts.
6. Raise the tire off the ground using the jack.
7. Remove the lug nuts, tire and wheel.
8. Install the spare.
9. Lower the car until the tire is contacting the ground.
10. Tighten the lug nuts.
11. Lower the car the rest of the way.
Some additional notes. Check your spare for inflation. You could have a sad day if the spare is flat. If you have locking lug nuts, make sure that the key is in the car. Preferably near the other tools for changing the tire. Practice jacking your car up and down a couple of times in your driveway to get the understanding of everything involved.

Don't take off the nuts-just loosen them. Than jack up the car so that the wheel is above the ground-enough for you to take the tire off. Unscrew all the nuts. Pull the tire off. Put the spare on. Tighten the nuts. Release the jack. Tighten the nuts again with the nut wrench. Do not tighten by using your foot on the nut wrench. Drive to the nearest tire shop to see if they can patch the flat tire or if it has to be replaced. They'll put the spare back where it belongs. Like i said before, my only concern with tire shops is them properly torqueing (tightening the wheels). They are supposed to manually torque them with a special tool called a torque wrench after using an impact wrench with a colored torque stick. Otherwise your brakes will wear very quickly (in months), particularly the rotors, and it will be very difficult to remove a wheel if you get a flat.
Buy quality tires when you need them like Michelin. That's the best strategy, but make sure your spare tire is inflated to the right pressure and ready for an emergency. Depend on your cell phone and your 24/7 garage service.web design company
